Last September I went to Hobart and we drove up through to Launceston and then back down the east coast. It was great to see the unspoilt landscapes on offer throughout the regions -- Tasmania has done well to preserve its natural surroundings.
Lucky for us there was still snow on Mt Wellington (Hobart) down to 300m. This was extremely rare for that time of year and it was amazing to see everything covered in white, even though it was nearly summer!
Mt Wellington Lookout

Clocking off at Beaconsfield
1/20sec at f.5.6, ISO 100, 90mm zoom, Aperture Priority
Bass Strait Oil Rig
1/100sec at f.5.6, ISO 100, 28mm zoom, Aperture Priority
Barrel o' Red
1/320sec at f.3.5, ISO 100, 28mm zoom, Aperture Priority
Port Arthur Panoramic
1/60sec at f.10, ISO 100, 28mm zoom, Aperture Priority
I'm looking forward to going back and seeing the north and west coasts, which I hear are even more picturesque than the east.
